Getting involved outside the classroom is one of the best ways to build your knowledge and your network. For accounting students at BYU, these are the organizations to know:
Accounting Society
That's us. We run the firm nights, recruiting events, professional development workshops, and socials that most accounting students use to prepare for internships and full-time offers. New members are welcome any time, and the opening social is the easiest place to start.

Beta Alpha Psi (BAP)
An honor organization recognizing academic and professional excellence among students in accounting, finance, and information systems. BAP also runs BYU's VITA lab, where IRS-certified student volunteers prepare free tax returns for students and the community.

The student chapter of a national organization serving students headed toward careers in business, accounting, and finance. It's a good fit if you're leaning toward industry over public accounting.
