  What does the accounting society do?

  Each semester we organize multiple networking and recruiting events, firm visits, case competitions, and social activities. We also hold office hours and career-prep sessions to help students with resumes, interviews, and recruiting. Through our events and community, students connect with peers, professors, and professionals in the industries they are interested in, while getting familiar with how the BYU accounting program works.

  Who can join?

  Anyone is welcome to join the Accounting Society.
  We primarily serve freshmen and sophomores who are interested in building a career with a foundation in accounting, whether that leads to public accounting, consulting, finance, or other business fields. While we promote and support the BYU accounting program, we also coordinate with other clubs and programs across the Marriott School to help students find the best fit for their goals. Students outside of the business school are also welcome to join and participate in our events and resources.

  How can I get informed on club opportunities and updates?

  Join our Microsoft Teams channel using your BYU account to receive all club updates, event announcements, and recruiting information.
  Teams is our primary communication platform and the fastest way to stay informed. We also use this website to post major announcements, upcoming events, and important opportunities, but Teams is where day-to-day updates are shared.

  Does joining cost money?

  No. Joining the accounting society is free thanks to our wonderful alumni and the School of Accountancy.
