Ryan is an undergraduate Accounting student at Brigham Young University, currently pursuing the rigorous JD/MAcc track with a focus on tax law. Throughout his academic and professional career, Ryan has turned complex challenges into growth. As a Property Manager and former Financial Secretary for a 160-person volunteer organization in Colombia, he managed funds, optimized expense tracking (saving over $15,000), and leveraged tools like Excel, SQL, and Tableau to drive data-backed decisions. His current research focuses on the economic and operational impacts of transferable tax credits, an area he is eager to explore further in his legal and accounting career.
Beyond the numbers, Ryan is deeply passionate about leadership and building inclusive environments. Whether generating $125,000 in revenue in three months at Aptive Environmental, directing marketing initiatives for the BYU Accounting Society, or serving as Co-President of the BYU Ballroom Dance Touring Company, he focuses on establishing clear expectations, mutual respect, and a shared vision of excellence.
